Ummm, yeah... I think that he mistakenly added an extra zero... should be $1,200.00 and $1,800.00 to be realistic.

I like how the seller says the glove box door does't open. It's as if that's the most significant problem with the car.

Whoa! Perhaps Geraldo Rivera could do and hour long TV special around opening the stuck glovebox to see what treasures lie within. :rofl2:

An obvious victim of Barrett-Jackson Derangement Syndrome, or BJDS. I sent the seller the following:

You'll have much better luck at a realistic sale if your start price knocks that last "zero" off the price. You have a $1,200 car on it's best day. Sorry to break the news to you, but that's what you have. I've been around these cars for over 40 years.

Did you guys see his ebay nic??? karolathedreamer ... Pretty fitting, if you ask me!

Let us know if the reply is anything other than hostile. Most people don't take kindly to having their delusional bubbles burst. :coco:

Of course, the seller warned us that he doesn't know anything about cars. He's not sure about the engine (apparently he can't tell by opening the hood and looking at it), but seems certain it has leather seats. And expects us to rely on his opinion that it runs and drives great.

Still, I think $1200 might be low-balling it a little, even with the wrong tailgate (I missed that at first!). I'm not seeing any huge expanses of rust (no pictures of the underneath, though). It would probably worth more than $1200 as a parts car, and I think it's a good restoration candidate.

But you're right that a realistic price is a lot closer to twelve hundred than to twelve thousand.

With new front tires, it probably has suspension issues.
