1981 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Brougham Not a wagon, but posted for general interest as a fairly rare car even when new in 1981, and especially now 30 plus years later. Spectacular Olds! Even has the factory sport steering wheel. http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-veh...smobile-Eighty-Eight-Coupe-W0QQAdIdZ472909831
Rare? I use to see lots of them around here in the day, if it were the holiday coupe then it would be rare. it's not far from me if anyone wants me to go look at it
I think(?) KK's reference to 'big olds' is that they would be 15'' rims on that car. If I'm not mistaken they shared the smaller bolt pattern as mine witch are 14's.... KK?
I admit it is nice, but I honestly believe he is over the top on price. Sure it is not a common car, but it is also not one in high demand. A friend just sold an 80,000 km (50,000 mile) 85 Buick LeSabre (Same car) just as loaded, and in at least the same shape, for $1,800, and was HAPPY to get that!
Since they both have vinyl tops - this '84 is a better buy: http://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/cars-sale/72154-1984-delta-88-royale-brougham.html I will be a motivated buyer on the next nice 2-door RB slick top I see - I don't know what the production breakdown is but 2-door slicktops are hard to find.
There were lots of Delta 88 sedans in my area, but the coupes were much more rare, and especially rare were ones this loaded up. The interior on this one is gorgeous - nothing like it today.
