I have a 1967 Ford Country Sedan. The last time I had it out I left the tailgate window open. Yesterday I went to close it and the window crank rotated freely in both directions. I took the rear panel off and the only way I can figure to work on it is to have the window up. I have no idea what to do now. How do I get the window up to work on the crank?

I'm sure you can unbolt the window from the track. Do you have a factory shop manual?

Thanks for all your help. Got it back together last night (8-1-13). Turns out the operator, me, didn't realize how the lock worked until I took it apart and saw I did it for nothing. Oh well, not the first time and I'm sure not the last. At least now I know something new.

Glad that you were able to get it up
Love the '67s but then again I might be biased.
I have a NOS in the box exterior tailgate window crank/handle that I don't need as mine is power, let me know if you want it and I will dig it out for you.

    take care,
    B

I still have it so if you want it send me your address.
It may take a few weeks to locate it as we recently moved but I will send it to as soon as I find it.

    Let me know.

thanks for the offer BP, but the more i read, the more I'm inclined to stay power. I just need to find the parts.
