I am looking for a ford wagon that I can cut off the back 2-3 feet for a man cave project. One that has a rusted frame would be good. I would prefer a 67 but am open to what is available.
The back end. I plan on making a solid back to the open cut end and hang it on the wall and being able to use the tail gate and window. I would install a Ipad dock for msic and use the tail gate to set food on for football parties.
Good on your project, Torinopilot. In case this matters to your project (and if you didn't know), the 65 had a simple drop-down tailgate with hinged arms on each side, and the 66-68 had the two-way tailgate with a cable on the left side. Also, I'd think you would want manual rather than electric window glass, unless you want to make a 12V power supply for it. Again, good luck and post pics when you get it going.
Cool idea, does it need to be the back of a wagon... cause this is available... kidding. Actually that looks pretty cool. You'll keep us up to date with the project.
Welcome to the Nuthouse. Neat idea you have there. Are you thinking about rigging up 12 volt to it somehow? It is possible, then, to have the tail lamps operational for 'mood' lighting, and the back up lights for room lighting.
