Just joined as a new member. Have been a longtime lover of the "long roof". Just purchased a 1965 Pontiac Tempest Wagon (GTO Phantom). Looking forward to getting out of winter and hitting the cruise scene. Also looking forward to interacting with my "wagon brethren".
Welcome aboard, Goat. Sounds like you've gotten yourself a nice long roof. Is it already "goated" or are you going to do that? We love pictures here, so post away.
to SWF Goatwagon...nice to meet you. Hope you'll be able to join in the Cheer for the New Year tomorrow, we are hoping to get as many members as possible logged in at the same time. Glad you found your way to us.
You and your Longroof will make a welcome addition to the SWF family, Goatwagon. We've had one or two 'GTO' wagons in the past. Looking forward to seeing some pics. Welcome to the SWF! Marshall
Welcome aboard! I see you have a Vette problem - been there, done that too. So let's see some pics of the wagon and tell us about your plans for it.
I'm the owner of the 1965 Pontiac Tempest that Jim68cuda referred to in his 8/19/13 post in response to Tankerjoe. Will post photos later. Also working on "dumbing down" all the shiny under the hood. I want it to look a bit more "stock" there. The car does need some finishing touches. Need to add seat belts, horns and a better sound system. Just bought a restored stock tilt steering column to replace the IDIDIT column. Would like to get new Rally I wheels with red line tires to give it more of a period correct look. My ultimate goal would be an LS3 engine and 5-speed transmission. Goats should have a stick tranny, right?
