I just remember a particularly harsh winter with a rusted parking-brake cable, and that was just after the warranty expired! That was an interesting winter-time experience. Yours looks like it has led a more pampered life.

No, I sold it years ago...Mostly because a tapped a Neon on the rear end and because my wagon was lower it crunched the hood, grill and one fender. I was sick after all that work and just sold it as is (was). Sadly, it's sitting in a field a few miles from my house, just going to waste. :(

I don't know about pampered, the rear ashtrays were packed with cigarette butts and the guy I got it from bought it from a title pawn place. It's been down south all it's life, as far as I can tell. I've been all over the underneath and haven't found any rust issues yet...

Being a southern car should definitely help!

That's too bad about the Malibu wagon. I wish I was closer, I'd consider resurrecting it depending on how much worse it got from laying out in the field.

    That's one nice Wagon.

I can't say anything against them. As long as there's Mustang and Capri fans and Mexico, I'll always have parts to keep mine running and looking good. The modern Model T!

Mine was also a 302 V8, but I got a good deal on a parts car with a newly rebuilt Six and Trans, but I'll be changing mine to a Mustang Turbo 4 cylinder and Standard trans, as well a 3.45:1 rearend. If you're planning on installing the Gauge dash, you'll love the tachometer - you can switch it to 4, 6 or 8 cylinder operation with a turn of the front setting screw.
