My name is Mark and I am new to the site. I see the forum as a bouncing board of thoughts and ideas. I do not own a station wagon, I own a 72 Malibu that I have owned since 1978 when I was in high school. The Chevelle wagons and my Malibu have common ground and that's why I wanted to join. I have seen some awsome things done with wagons. Remember, they were the first SUVs. I always dreamed of restoring my Malibu and after almost 36 years of ownership, it's nearing being complete. I'm not a mechanic but through friends and others, I decided to take on this project and I have done almost all the work with the exception of the bodywork. Since I have had to learn nearly everything about my Malibu, I may be able to aid someone else with questions about their Chevelle wagons. Don't hate me because I own a short car.
Welcome to the Nuthouse we call home! Owning a wagon is not required around here, else I would have been drummed out long since. The main thing is to enjoy wagons, and to enjoy old cars! Sounds like you will fit right in.
72Blue I've got a feeling you will soon be addicted to station wagons too. I had a 1980 Malibu 2-door, V-6, 3-speed. Nice lookin little car. It was the car we towed behind our motorhome for many years. Enjoy the group.
Welcome to the forum Mark! We take all comers here, with a wagon, without a wagon, wanting a wagon, loving wagons. Great to have you join us.
to SWF. Nice to meet you from your Canadian cousin. If you like you can post a bit more about your Malibu here http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=35 and don't forget a few photos.
Welcome aboard! I'm west of St. Louis also, about 250 miles west.... Post some pics of your car - congrats on owning it that long!
Welcome 72, but I have to warn you. You hang around here long enough and you'll probably wind up getting a wagon to match your 'Bu sedan. Have fun; glad you joined us.
As far as posting photos of my restoration, I have digital photos of the entire process to date. I would love to have people see them so, when I figure out how to post photos of my rides, I will do so.
