hello, I bought this on ebay resin us, I wanted to know if anyone know this model? I did many search on google, nothing! Is this a ghost? thank you very much
It was never a Factory option. Some were made by LeBaron and the other coach company that made custom 4-door hardtops with vinyl roofs (Italian designer?). The rest were funeral coaches.
Chrysler made four-door hardtop wagons from 1959 through 1963, as Chrysler New Yorkers and Newports, and Dodge Polara, 880 and Custom 880. I owned a '63 Dodge 880 hardtop wagon, and it's even pictured in the Gallery. Far as an Imperial wagon, you are correct. If I can find it, I remember seeing a pic of a '59 Imperial wagon that was an Armbruster Stageways conversion to a hearse, but looked what an Imperial wagon should've looked, if Chrysler had built one! Minor correction, Patrick. I believe the big Dodge and Chrysler hardtop wagons went from model year 1960 to 1964.
In 1964, Chrysler changed the New Yorker and Newport body styles completely, and the hardtop wagon did not carry over to 1964. You might be right on the Dodge.
1964 Chrysler new Yorker hardtop wagon: http://images.google.com/imgres?img...images?q=1964+Chrysler+wagon&gbv=2&hl=en&sa=G 1965 Chrysler wagon: http://images.google.com/imgres?img...images?q=1965+Chrysler+wagon&gbv=2&hl=en&sa=G Although the sheet metal received significant changes from '60 to '64, it was still the same basic vehicle underneath. The 'tell' is the greenhouse, which remained the same.
