Motivation is a good and bad thing.

If I am motivated to fix the car and drive it = GREAT!

If the kid across the street is motivated to fix it and drive = BAD!

Meaning I would rather see it rot then someone else have fun with it. Too bad ... How many 1997 Toyota Corolla's are getting restored? Just saying....

67, those two cars are not run of the mill, every day 16 year old Toyotas. They are not even run of the mill 40 year old Toyotas. They were something special when new. Not common then, and certainly very uncommon now. Not long ago someone I know of on Facebook sent a 63 Imperial Crown convertible to the scrap yard because it was rough and he couldn't be bothered to list it for sale with the Imperial Owner's club, where it would have sold for scrap value in a heartbeat, seeing as there were only 441 built for the year!

Just junky worn out old cars Get over it.:slap:
Back in Illinois a coworker often told me he'd drive my junky old cars down to the river landing, get out and put them in gear. Some people don't have a clue.
That's partially good for us car lovers because it leaves more for us. Also bad for those old cars belonging to the people who don't care about old cars.
Now that scrap is worth more and most people don't know how to repair old cars even more are ending up as kitchen appliances or fence posts.
Everyone doesn't have a farm in Nebraska to store cars.
