Hello Station wagons! First time ever in a forum for me, I am 21 years old and bought my first real car when i was 17. I am a Norwegian and Mopar is my lifestyle. I have a young 1977, Dodge Monaco Station Wagon. Bought it in 2008 and it is still standing in pieces in my garage, haha. Struggling finding parts and so on. By joining this forum I hope to find someone who know something I do not know. A lot of pictures on this forum/garage! Thanks
Welcome, DM! Man, you are not afraid to tackle a HUGE project..... We've got plenty of Mopar experts here to help you with the rebuild. Do you have any history on the wagon? Marshall
Welcome to the nuthouse we call home! Great wagon. You will fit in around here perfectly. You will find all the information you could ever want right here on the Forum. Please, though, start a build thread in the projects section. If you want a perfect example of what I mean, check out this thread: http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19936 Brandon has set the bar impossibly high for both the quality of his work and the quality of the build thread. See if you can out do him! LOL No, it is not a competition, and we sure would love to see the progress. Just don't be like Dewey, and end up with a simply gorgeous MOPAR with no interior! (Kidding, Dewey. Sort of!)
Thank you very much for a great welcome! Did not know you were so active on this forum, very good. Lot of things to read about here, having fun looking through other threads. MikeT1961, thanks for the advise starting a build thread. I have started writing some info about the car and how I ended up with the Monaco. Krash Kadillak, I do not have any special history on the car. Other then the VIN number information. It was registered in Norway in 1977, and has been here since. Yes, it is a huge project, to my defense I did not know that it was so hard to find parts for this car. It was a rookie mistake, haha. I do not have many parts left that is missing or is beyond repair. But it is also the hardest ones of course. In the end, I know it will be worth it!
