Well that didn't take long, here's one of the Lambrecht cars on ebay. It's being sold in the salvage section so at least the seller is selling it for what it is - junk. Don't remember what this sold for at Lambrecht but there is a reserve on it. Will be interesting to see what this gets bid up to now that the auction fever has cooled.

Really tragic. This Chevy dealer must have been nuts, or certainly no car lover by any means. An example of what undoubtedly was once a great Kingswood Estate trade-in from 1971 that is now rusted scrap. It even has the period correct dual white stripe tires. :slap:

The guy was in business to make money. Cars and trucks were like corn - a commodity - to him. The man is laughing all the way to the bank.

With a junk frame and unknown floors, this would be a great $1K parts car, especially with all the options.

Too bad this wasn't one of the cars that was stored inside. I don't think any of the wagons were stored inside other than that '64 Bel-Air.

Only the first of many disappointed buyers. At least he's honest.
Kinda wonder what he paid for his dream wagon?

Keep in mind, no matter how bad some of those vehicles look today, most would have been gone long ago anyway. It's evolution.

Does anybody know what the 'ordinary' vehicles like this one from the auction went for? Did a lot of them bring crazy money, or were most of them a few hundred or so? Personally, I don't understand all the interest in this event.

    Not a wagon but....

    1967 Chevy Impala 4 Door - $1750 (Milford)
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
This is a 1967 Chevy Impala 4 Door Hard Top, Was Purchased at the Lambrecht Auction in Pierce NE. 283 cub in with the power glide

    The good:
Comes With Title and all #'s matching
Most trim pieces are still there, grill, side trim and emblems are all in great shape
Interior is not the best but by far not worse, front seat has tears, back seat is great
Dash and instrument panel are in great shape
Bumpers are good, showing a little rust but nothing that can't be fixed

    The Bad:
The frame is solid but both lower control arms are completely busted off
I have no idea on the condition of engine or trans.
Body is rusty but not bad, most of the damage is the rear windshield on passenger side
All 4 tires are completely flat and no idea on if brakes are locked up or if rear end
    free or not.
Drivers door doesn't shut and all others are stuck

These are the only photos I have, not sure about getting more can try

I'm selling it cause I bought it hoping to restore but time and money are way to short. It is currently sitting at a friends house. I can only show it Sundays or Mondays. If interested to see or purchase, you will have to pickup and load yourself.
Price is negotiable but not by much, already listing lower then what I paid for.

    Ha!
So you bought it at auction a couple of weeks ago "hoping to restore" it? Really? Isn't the real truth you're a flipper and you bought 4 or 5 of these hulks hoping to cash in?

Nicely put! Like he didn't know two weeks ago that he was short of time and money. I guess trying to add credibility to the car, himself, and the ad. "I really wanted to keep it, but..."
