Does anyone know of a correct part # for the dash switch power tailgate relay. I've looked online and some seem to suggest it's the same relay as for the high speed blower. Unfortunately several parts houses have this relay listed incorrectly in their system. I just bought a high blow relay by finding the original part # and cross referencing it at a store after I tried several others.

The part #'s I'm finding online seem to have too many terminals to be correct. My relay connector has provisions for 4 terminals and no more, so the 5 terminal will not work.

    Thanks,
    Brandon

I just found out I was wrong. There is an empty slot for the extra terminal. The original part number for this relay was

If it is in fact that one it looks like a match to the high speed blower relay under the hood on my GMC van.

However, on my 70 Chevelle wagon, which is close to the wiring architecture used in 71, the rear window relay is the same as a power window relay on my 71 Monte Carlo. Mounts on the inner frame of the driverside hinge pillar.

Edit: reread you post and see yours is different, however, wonder if the extra unused terminal is a second switched hot to feed something else, such as in a car with power door windows AND a power gate window?

    Best,
    Tom

Well, I know that some websites show this is a direct replacement for the high speed blower motor as well but I found out last week that the blower motor can only have 3 terminals. There aren't even any extra holes to accept anymore.
