Yes, very nice indeed! What does he/she mean, "first generation Olds"?

If it is as nice as it looks, this is a STEAL at this price. Certainly well worth a serious look by anyone wanting a nice clam

Lil skeptical on this one "phone not working right" lol mine doesn't work "right" all the time either but would still rather deal with people over the phone.

would want drivers carpet pedal and door panel pics too.

If the car has "been in storage" since 1977 inside why are the rear window rubbers on the pass side REALLY rough looking. Those should be SWEET!

I'm guessing he means that it's still in the family of the original owner.

I received pictures today. This wagon is loaded and is very nice. Interior is excellent. However, it has rust on the left quarter down low by the tank, and the dogleg is starting to rust. Lower edge needs repainted as it has lots of rock chips. A/C belt is missing, and it will need tires. But, its an excellent car.....just not a $5,000 car IMHO

I may go look at it in person, my gut says it is a $3000 wagon that will need $2k to get rolling right.

I would add the pics but they are sent through word doc. Weird

Anyway, here is my assessment of the car. A/C belt is gone, I assume clutch is bad, needs tires from sitting, will need hoses, belts and general maintenance items done. The left rear lower edge of rear quarter is starting to go like all of them do. It will need the fuel tank pulled to properly repair the lip, and then replace fuel lines since you are already there. Left dogleg is starting to rust inside the door jamb right on the edge and its starting to bleed to the outside. The entire lower edge of the car is riddled with rock chips, not dented just chipped to pieces. It needs to be completely sanded smooth, repair the two rust issues and then repainted. I figure with me doing the body work and materials it would cost me $800. Tires another $450 for Walmart cheap tires, hoses, belts, oil, filter, plugs, wires, fuel pump and misc other things another $300. A/C compressor $250 and I can charge the system myself. That is around the $2,000 I figured for repairs. $1,500 for me to get it home and I would have $6,500 in it. And thats about what it is worth all cleaned up, which is fine. Hope that helps

99.9% of the ac belts I have seen removed were for fuel milage purpose's plain and simple. But they do go bad if unturned/unused too.
