I'd ask for more pics by email. Good to know that it needs no work and is rust free. As far as price, his asking price is not unreasonable for a fully functional GM clamshell wagon, but I'd want to know if it has the 3rd seat and any other options. It's been for sale for well over a month now, so that price should have some flexibility.

It's hard to see everything in the one picture, but from what we can see, it's a sharp-looking car. Being an Impala, it's not the highest-end Chevy clamshell you could get that year, but 40 years later, as I said, it's a darn nice-looking car.

The kilometers given translates to less than 50,000 miles, and that's very low. I would say the $5,500 price is on the high end of reasonable, and as an asking price, it's probably quite reasonable. Maybe it could be gotten for $4,000 or $5,000.

I was emailing the owner also regarding the car....if it wasn't green and 2 tone I might entertain buying it.

what is your take on the owner's replies?
if it was $4000 i'd be on it but $5500 or 5000 is pushing it

We didn't get into the talk of money because I wasn't interested.

Despite the colour being wrong for me I would say its worth around $4500

The first guy who looked at it?! It had been listed for sale since early July at the very earliest! :slap: :naughty:

    Sorry - very skeptical!

I didn't look at it personally but he sent me a lot of pictures and email talk before I decided it wasn't the right car for me...that was 2 months ago......

Should have clarified the "guys". Original listing guy sold it to the second listing guy. First guy took forever to sell - prob due to his rural location. Second guy lives in the city and resold it. Clear as mud now?
