hi all long time away ? yap, but after the engine and transmission swap to TBI its now time for a new color. i´m not a friend of this plastic wood and silver color. lets begin not longer a clone woody close all the trim holes, exact 62 holes better
next was the big side panels, the last owner thinks, no one see the waves under the plastic tree next step grey mouse a lot of sanding.... the door jambs and inner doors are ready its a fantastic color and readyfor the next step
first step is done. the roof an the Hood are painted. only one little mistake on the hood but it´s easy to fix. my new paintgun Sata 4000 HVPL works great, i love this gun ! front now i will waint one day an then i paint the rest
Love the color! I want to find a Buick Roadmaster in this color. Rare as hens teeth! Looks great on your Poncho!
Great idea to paint the roof and hood separately. I always painted the door edges, hood, trunk edges, etc. then the entire car. Your way prevents the overspray. Never said I was a painter. Altho on my wagon it was two colors so I guess I did do it that way. Too much painting without a resperator!:banghead3:
the last car, my wifes Olds Omega, i painted all in one, but too much overspray. this time ? nothing today out in the sun tomorrow i start with masking and cover the roof and hood the paintjob must not be perfect, it´s a daily driver, but i´m very happy with my job I made it myself and this is important
after 3 hours the last step painting 9 liters basecoat and 6 liter clear after 3 weeks i start with colorsanding and buffing
