A Saturn V rocket clocks in at 7 INCHES per gallon! http://space.io9.com/did-you-know-that-the-saturn-vs-fuel-economy-was-7-inc-935695163/935748020 I feel a lot better about mashing the gas now.
Hah...bet that little known fact would be enough to make a Prius owner's head explode! I think I may get some posterboard and make a nice sign for the back window of the Escalade. I wonder how many of those little buggers would just run right off the road!!
I still want a bumper sticker for my wagon that says "I burn the gas you think your Prius is saving." .
Ive seen the rocket in person and it is MASSIVE. The pictures dont really give you a good idea of how big it really is.
Wow! Talk about massive! And to think that some day it will will be trumped in size by something else humans built. Thanks for posting the pics, Wagonmaster!
Or even worse ....... look at the size of cars today compared to yesterday! A Prius just mite be the next thing to go to the moon, @ 10 inches per gallon
BLASPHEMY!!! The Saturn V rocket WILL be the prius. Have I ever mentioned how much I don't like new cars... and especially the prius. A couple are driving down the road in their new [old] 75 Chrysler Land Yacht. They have had a pretty fun trip thus far and can't wait to show their friends. They laugh as they tell stories of their past when suddenly they run over something. "What was that?" She exclaims. He pulls over and puts it in park. He then reaches into a bad on the back seat, leaning over the bench seat, and pulls out a large, flat head screw driver. "Don't worry. I think I know what it is." he says, and he exits. He checks each tire until he stops at the rear passenger wheel. She watches, twisting in her seat, but never so much as opening her window. She can hear him doing something but she decides to wait until he gets in. After a moment she asks him, "Well, what was it?" As he puts his seat belt on and starts the engine, he says, "It was another prius." DISCLAIMER: I know its bad. Don't hate me for making it so long winded.
A Recycled (used) 75 Chizzler has a smaller carbon footprint than a Prius due to the huge amount of hydrocarbons used to make a New car. They should put that in their pipe and smoke it.
MPG. 2004 Dodge hemi. quadcab truck with topper shell. New spark plugs. Cleaned the cold air inlet air filter. Added tailpipes to the old dual exhaust and turbo mufflers. Switched from, 87 octain to 89. Went from 13MPG at 70-75 MPH most of 1000 mile trip. Got 17.2 by end of trip to Illinois. Went down to 16.0 while there for 1000 city miles. Ended up at 16.7 on return 1000 miles, again slightly oyer 70-75MPH. Or I coulda traded last year for a HHR and payments to get 25MPG. Still money ahead! With the turbo mufflers and chrome extensions it sounds like a Saturn rocket on takeoff.
