Thanks for offering about going to look at it. It's kinda like the lottery. You take the chance of winning or losing. LOL. I am not worried

Hey everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know that there are still good people in this world. My "stalker" tried to buy this car out from under me once again. The seller emailed me and let me know there was someone else wanting the car. But he informed him that he was holdig the car for me. So there are guys out there that still believe a deal is a deal. This "stalker" even tried paying more money for the car. What a jerk, And I have about 25 more pictures of the car. Can't wait until I get it home in about 2 weeks

Seller might want to take down the craigslist ad, which still comes up for me.

I have no problem letting my family know what I have in it. $2,500 was the agreed on price, $800 in shipping, $100 new gas tank, $75 front bumper fillers. So far I have $3,500 in it before doin much to it. However, I love the car already. I will probably end up painting the lower half of the car. Both dog legs have a couple small holes in them. Just wish it had a power tailgate. Oh well

Yeah, I bought a car one time off of Craigslist and I think they kept the ad up forever, never could understand that one. lol.

Sounds great... it looks like a solid car and the interior looks excellent. I am glad it got a good home. I agree, the power gate would have been a nice option and for me, tilt wheel and 3rd seat would have been icing on the cake, but at least it does have A/C. Despite the lack of options I like, most everyone here knows that I love the '73 Caprice Estate wagons, it is still a neat car to me. I am still trying to see if I can spot a bronze one. Very rare.

Looking forward to the addition photos of this beauty!!

This wagon reminds me very much of this one... the only difference is this one has power gate and 3rd seat, but no tilt. This is a beauty and I feel that this '73 out of SC could be just as sweet!

You are right 72 Kingswood and it was the first thing I thought of as well, right colour combo and all. The one that Swanny 454 just bought looks great for the money, even without the full power gate. The one in Europe is a really clean example, pricy but a really beautful car in fantastic condition for its age. I have already contacted the seller with the help of Clamshell Cruiser but I have not heard back yet. I think I will send him another line though.

Yeah, the cars are so much alike and the interiors on both are awesome.

Yeah, I remember the one on youtube link being really pricey. I would love it have it, but too much $$$$$ for me, lol. I will have to stick with my '72 and hope I can get it on the road again.

Has little rust around back windows and on both doglegs. Wood grain has that "cracking" in it. So, it will need woodgrain and more than likely I will repaint the entire wagon. I am hoping the interior is as nice as it looks in the pictures. That is what I am after, and I wanted a good solid car to start with

All in all still pretty clean Swanny. If the tail gate was straight (minor anyway) then else where there seems be very little in repairs to the panels dent wise, which means the car has been reasonably looked after over the years, and the dog legs are not horrendous either. The big question still lays under those big rear windows which will need to be popped no matter how good or bad the rust damage may or may not be. I have to ask, is that bucket (pail) meant to be catching leaking petrol (gas)? It seems to be leaking (the bucket that is) and may need to be replaced as well! :)

Seriously though, I would love you to start a new thread in the resto section (if you haven't already thought of doing this) when you are ready so that those of us that are interested can follow your progress, especially with the repairs around the rear windows.
