More pics sure would be nice. They sure did some interesting things back then, this blue woody with a red interior, like my Beateor lite green with blue interior
Another fantastic car for its age! If this car is as good as the seller and the pics suggests then for the price this is a fantastic buy as well. Where is the 73 caprice in this condition for this price???
Many emails with the seller. Money in hand. This what it turn out to be : http://burlington.craigslist.org/ctd/3936887848.html When things are too good to be true...
72 Squire THAT IS TOTALLY NUTS !!!!!!! It makes me trust the internet even less. I always make a phone call to the seller before considering a purchase. It helps to give me a " Feel " for the person.
Hmmm ... what's going on here? Seller has what appears to be exact same car on their web site. One ad for $7,495 and one for $BO? http://www.aundrettisales.com/details.php?id=893&page=2 And what's with the black-painted hood?
It is the same guy. In summary (emails/phone) this was first supposed to be a well preserved Virginia find and he ended up doing some type of resto mod (black hood, wheels, etc.).
Wonder how much of the resto-mod is reversible? In his latest CL ad, price is $5,995: http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/ctd/3956215647.html And why, oh why, would anyone be stupid enough to paint the hood of a '72 Ford Country Squire black? Oh, yeah, I forgot: carbon-fibre hoods were an option back in '72.
Dealer trying to pass himself off as a private party. Be careful, be very careful. I wouldn't necessarily believe the claim of an original 59k miles, either.
