I hope Cleo is home now getting carrots in bed. My cousins had a wabbit when I was young, "Bunny" was his name. You could pet his ears for hours.
Were your cousins from Arkansas? Welcome home Cleo and Tedy. Not necessarily in that order. Maybe Deb will pet your ears!
Ms Cleo came home on Friday night. She's definitely feeling better but has a long way to go. They sent her home with 6 different oral medications. We've been having some pretty long drawn out battles trying to get those medications into her. She refuses to let us hold on to her, always has. Now that there are meds involved she's doubly stubborn. The vet suggested that we have her boarded at the hospital for a while and they would do the medicating for us. Now that she's home I'm reluctant to take her back.
I would think Vets would have figured a way to put meds in good tasting food for any animal by now. Even Tedy is gonna be difficult for Deb to hold down and medicate! Guess you'll both have to grab your patients by the big ears! Good luck.
Rabbits have almost twice as many smell and taste receptors as we do. I guess they're too smart for us. I was able to hide one of her pain medications in banana for a while. Rabbits are absolute junkies when it comes to bananas. She wanted the banana enough that she just didn't care. Now she's eating a little less than she did before she went into the hospital, she's being more selective and I have trouble forcing anything on that fuzzy little face.
Well Hello! Just look at the expression and even I can see she'z crabby! Go back to the vet and swap the medz for onez that can be inserted from the other end You can sneak up on 'er that way. Win win
Crabby looks is what bunnies do. For such loving animals they sure can do nasty looks well. http://www.disapprovingrabbits.com/
We here think she's lookin good. My wife wants to know what site I am on. She thinks I gave up car and bike sites for rabbit sites.
HI! Glad to see that your pal is home and ruling the roost once again. I see that she has you well trained, doesn't she? Typical of a pet, I suppose. It often makes me wonder just who belongs to whom? Robert
