Hello Everyone, Just joined the other day after looking for parts to my newly purchased 1983 Buick Estate Wagon. This is actually my daily driver and my kids think it is totally cool. Of course we will be changing things up a bit in the future. One thing we are considering doing is painting it as a race car and offering sponsorship for charity. I own a photography studio in Houston so being an artist in an Art car town is pretty cool. Oh I wanted to add some other cool details about the ride. It is pretty much just like new. I bought it from an 80 year old lady in Spring and it has 37K miles. Everything works but we had to replace the alternator the other day. We also had the headliner replaced. Other than that everything is tip top and ready to roll. Kindest regards, Danny
Humm, another Buick. I didn't know they built em in 83. I would have thought they went away long before that. Very nice condition.
Hey Danny, cool wagon. Photo studio? need way more pics. That would be neat painted up like a race car, ever considered a vinyl wrap like Nascar uses? Then you could keep it original underneath and have photos on it too. I want to do my entire Vista Cruiser with a woodgrain wrap, if wood is good more wood has to be gooder.
Welcome to the the place. Cool another Texan and U live in Houston. What part? I live on the south east side in Clear Lake.
i dont live in Texas...but ..... congrats on the purchase!! what kind of Photography do you do?..do...do.......
Welcome Danny, Did you just get that wagon from eBay? I saw it there and loved it...even saved the auction pictures on my computer. In the late 80's, I tried to buy a LeSabre wagon like that (it had the diesel engine) and my dad talked me out of it...since then, I've always coveted the 80-83 LeSabre wagons. I'm glad that it went to someone who can appreciate it. Yours even has the optional cloth front seat, vinyl rear seat, right? Welcome to the funny papers!!!
Update On The Wagon I know a lot of you guys have asked questions and I just recently had time to come back. The Buick was recently in the Houston Art Car Parade. If you want to see more images of the wagon feel free to check out www.artcarhouston.com I am attaching a few images too.
