I don't think the woodgrain is original. It should look more like this. Still a fine looking Ford, though.
Hmmm, makes me question the mileage. Why replace woodgrain & repaint, if it has only 41k miles? Unless maybe it sat outdoors and got faded. And there's also the non-original air cleaner, valve covers and exhaust. And no decent interior pics. Still, a great looking wagon!
I always did love the die cast grill on these 66s. It is so much nicer than the stamped aluminum grills on the lower line cars, not to mention the other years. It was an expensive grill to make, too.
You have a good eye. The woodgrain on the blue 66 squire is not correct. The closest available to the original pattern is available through woodgrain4wagons.com The green 66 squire pictured above has the correct woodgrain pattern. As far as I am concerned using any other woodgrain does not do any of the mid to late 60's squires justice! Dr B
