That rear end styling just does not do it for me.... it also looks very distorted/wavy , even in the other pics and I'm saying, no, it's not lite reflection.
It says that 24 kits were sold. How many were actually fitted? I'm not a huge fan of this, but it IS different.
I didn't read the add yet. But out of 24 kits it's amazing I've seen several when in central Illinois and at least two here in Florida. Maybe there were other kits out too. On a lot of Corvettes the front and rear panels were plastic and did have wrinkles. The 1976 Corvette was one of the cheapest, crappiest Corvettes made using low priced parts from other body styles.
That's an '80-'82 rear bumper cover that was put on there. Ad makes no mention of that. The aftermarket makes fiberglass replacements for the stock urethane bumper covers to eliminate the warped look. However, you lose the low-impact damage resistance, resulting in cracked fiberglass from a small bump, rather than the urethane just springing back. Also notice the Corvette emblem is crooked (lower on the left end of it). Definitely a driver and a curiosity and nothing else.
As a child I used to ride in the back of these corvettes... so aesthetics aside, I would have appreciated this back then. Brandon
