FYI: The spring motoring tour is going to launch on May 19 near Magic Mountain theme park, California. I am taking my wagon. Hoping the bar car Vista Cruiser will be with us. 2 nights of hotel in Visalia, California and about 1500 miles of vintage motoring between May 19-21, 2013. The sports car crowd hates on us because last year, we bought what had to be the biggest flower pot we had ever seen and tossed it into the back of the wagon. It is a run what you brung, fix what you broke, completely disorganized event. The goal is to meet at the first breakfast stop on the 19th and then hit the road. If you are lucky enough to live in Visalia, I heartily recommend that you come to the hotel in the evenings for social hour. Last year, two of us were out and about for three days. By the time we got home, we had spent a whopping 330 bucks total. Good cheap fun and roads that people never use. I have seen home made cars, motorcycles, 20's cars, 30's cars, 40's cars, newer cars (50's to modern), race cars with license plates, STATION WAGONS, cars sunk in creeks, duffed rear ends, punctured fuel tanks, body damage, torn off exhausts, broken suspension parts, blown head gaskets. If you are interested in tagging along or running the whole tour, send me a PM and I will get you the details that I have. You don't have to bring a wagon. It is more of a bring anything with wheels that runs kind of event. I have been on the tour many times in the last 10 years and I have determined that you couldn't have this much fun if you went to Las Vegas and went nuts.
We originally bought the ultimate POS Cadillac to take on the tour. Then we bought two more. And other people bought them to try and outdo us. Now we travel in an ultimate wagon with aircon that works. They will never outdo us.
