    say what???

Looks to me to be a Pinto that got put in to the back of a garage, where it sat for a few decades, and now, they've taken it out and spruced it up. Yes, it's a nice Pinto, but it's NOT, nor ever will be, worth that much money. They ARE sadly mistaken... I am reminded of a Barrett-Jackson Auction show from a few years back, where someone had spruced up, rather nicely too, a mid-60's VW Bug. It sold for $3,500. Something it would have done, only at a high falutin' auto auction. Maybe, these people have been watching those TV auction shows and have high hopes for their barn find. It's just a Pinto... It's not even a Mustang II... Or a Mercury Bobcat. It's just a Pinto. Take ten grand off the price and it starts to looks more reasonable. Would need to inspect in person to make sure...

Hell, you'd think for a seller asking that kind of $$$ would at LEAST clean the red overspray off the tires, and make those whitewalls shine like a diamond in a goat's a$$!

If this were a showroom new all-original loaded to the max Pinto Squire, I think it would have a hard time fetching $14K, but this plain, undetailed, "rebuilt" one for $14K is a joke. $14K for a '75 Country Squire in this condition would even be tough to achieve.

Would it be worth it if it were the last Pinto on earth?

I think they got way too many cobwebs in the windmills of their mind

I would offer them $1500 if they would at least put an AM radio in it.

They mention having over $4,000 in spare parts. Wonder if they're included in the price. For 14 Grand, they better be. Certainly not paying extra for them.

For that money, I'd better be getting a car WITH all the parts, and delivered to my driveway by a hot and horny buxom twenty-something bikini model that's willing to do unspeakable things with me. As a minimum.

I always said they were "....two tacos short of a combo plate."

Good example of somebody not knowing the market.
It's fine if you want to throw a bunch of money at a vehicle like this for your own use, but that doesn't make it worth a lot of money on the open market. Not too many vehicles out there where you can invest 'X' amount into a restoration and get all or most of back when you sell it, let alone a Pinto.

I sent the seller a message.

    worth

I've seen, on several of the televised car auctions that the "average frame of restoration" costs over $100,000. I sincerely doubt that much was spent on this car.($4,000, I'm betting) A lot of the cars go for less than their resto price tag because; nobody's going to pay that much for---whatever car that might be. An SS Malibu with the killer 454 and a four speed? You'll get your money back and some profit. A base model Malibu with a 307 and a three speed automatic? Be ready to take your lumps on it. As they point out on some of those auction shows. Sometimes you do the resto, for the love of the vehicle,,, cuz you didn't do it for the money... cuz the money's NOT going to be there. And, I'm willing to bet, as well, that the $4,000 in "spare parts" are the old parts they replaced with the new ones. Although, I'm at a loss to see where that went. That's a stock interior, AND it doesn't look all that nicely cleaned up.
