Friday and Saturday are the big days at Spring Carlisle. I went yesterday (Thursday) instead. True there are fewer cars to see on Thursday, but there are alot less people to get in your way too.
I only stayed about 4 hours, and only covered the car corral, the expo center auction area and only about three rows of vendors. I would have taken another full day to walk through the rest of the vendors without stopping.
I managed to take about 300 pictures and posted them on my Facebook page. There were several wagons there for sale and in the auction. I'll post a few pictures here along with a link to the photo album on Facebook.

    oh those memories

My earliest memories of a family car, are of a 1960 Ford Country Squire, my Father bought in 1964 or 65. It had a Mercury 390 in it, that had been pumped up to over 400 bhp. One day, with the gas gauge showing an eighth of a tank, my father filled up---it took 40 gallons to top off. There was no seat in the back-back anymore. It had been turned into a storage area. My family lived near Atlanta Georgia, at the time, and my Dad bought the wagon from a moonrunner who had to get rid of it, because the authorities were catching on to it.It lasted into the early 70's, before we replaced it with a 65 Bel Air four door. I do believe, I got my obsession with woodie wagons from that Country Squire.:yahoo:

This nice 73 Impala with a 454 has been for sale for over a year. I see it sometimes at the local cruise ins.

One wagon that I missed getting a picture of, was a 75 Buick Century wagon with the woody trim. It was across a crowded intersection from where I was walking and I decided against a closer look.

The following wagons were at the Expo Center two blocks away from the fairgrounds. These cars were to be in the auction on Thursday and Friday.

This powder blue 64 Country Sedan is a twin to one I had back in the 1980's.

This red 64 Country sedan looks like the one in the 1964 Jack Lemon movie, "Good Neighbor Sam". (I watch old movies just to see the cars in them.)

Olds Cutlass. There was also a newer front drive Cutlass woody wagon in the car corral, but I didn't get a picture of that one.

    Great pics as usual, Jim!
I'm seeing quite a few i wouldn't mind having parked in my garage. That white '62 Buick is particularly interesting.

Yes, but alot of those late 50's tin toy cars go for alot more money. I remember one vendor many years ago at Spring Carlisle, had several late 50's and early 60's tin toy cars. I noticed the cars at that vendor's table because one was a '62 Imperial, and I had read how a rare 62 Imperial tin toy car had sold at auction for over $20,000.00 (much more than a real 62 Imperial in perfect condition was worth at the time). I looked at the cars on that vendor's table and all were priced between $7000.00 and $20,000.00. As I was leaving I saw a little kid about 5 years old reaching for one of the cars on the table. I told his father to look at the price before letting him touch it. That was one very surprised father and he got that kid out of there quickly.

    Thanks Jim for the pictures.
Bad enough when we can't afford a real vehicle.
It's getting sad when some of us can't even afford a model car anymore.:slap:
