Other than the ugly wheels and seats its a pretty nice looking wagon.

Thought it looked familiar, does a member here own it? The other one? Would that be a red one with torq thrust wheels? Seen it a few weeks back for $9995 or some where around that price range.

Yup, that's the one, comes with a home made console on the bench seat that does look nice but is IMO at a impractical angle to hold a cup.

Been repainted, if there is mildew there is moisture(leaks) Mildew/mold can make you very sick would need gutted and replaced. you can clean the seats but you'll never get it out of the foam.It will come right back. Oh and Z-28 wheels will not "bolt on" think i'd be leary of those too

Yeah, this one has been 'for sale' for years. Alternates between craigslist and eBay.

Every time I see this wagon I get to thinking, why does he always put Camaro steering wheels and different wheels on every wagon he has?

    Needs wire wheel covers...

Is this the one that was originally posted for sale on craigslist by the original owner and it looked like it hadn't moved in 20 years? I think somebody on here was trying to buy it and this guy snuck in and gave the seller a story about wanting to take his kids to the park in this and how it brought back memories of his childhood. I think a week after he bought it it was on ebay. Same guy/car?

I'm trying to be nice here. Very sore spot with me. I would have gone completely Walter White to get a red plaid interior like that.

Are you the one that was trying to buy it? Doesn't this guy always have a clamshell on ebay?

Yeah - I noticed that too. All '71-'76 GM big cars had a 5x5" bolt pattern. Those Camaro alloys would be 5x4.75........

I own this car! For the record,I NEVER gave seller any BS story about buying car like most of you'll have posted for 2 years now that I did.

For what it's worth, here is how I bought the car.

I saw it on my local Cl late one Saturday night(the night it first had come out) and add said something like "good for parts" but of course I wanted to save it!

I emailed seller like 10 x's the first night, then I emailed seller the next day like 10 more x's and he never would respond.

I even went to the Spring Branch area where Cl posting said that it was located at and I rode around that area for 3 hours in hopes of finding it but did not find it(Sunday).

So,FINALLY,on Wednesday seller responds saying that he still had it,that LOTS of people had responded to add,and that he did not know what he was going to do with it(he also told me that LOTS of interest on it had only wanted certain parts from it like its 3rd row seat).

So,now that I finally had his email address I sent him pics.of my 76,73,+71 that I had @ that time and I HONESTLY told him that no way would I buy it for parts, that I LOVED these Wagons, and that I would restore it like it should be restored.

THEN,he tells me that he will tell his grandmother about me who was cars original owner, that decision was actually hers.

2 hours later he calls me(he had my phone # in like 30 emails) and he told me that his grandmother wanted me to have it because I had 3 already so I must love them and that was that!

So,that night I met the guy and paid him without even seeing car and he gave me the title(guy was going to a friends b-day party that night 5 minutes from my house so I offered to meet him there, pay him,+ lock in the deal).

And then 2 days later he had time to go over to Spring Branch where car was at and let me have it picked up.

AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED!

If he told anyone any BS story well, that is own him!

And,the reason that it took soooo long to get painted is because for rt.@ 2 years it was in my body guys garage(a friend who is 74 years old,is retired) and besides some health issues that came up older in these pat 2 years old age finally slowed him down a little bit.

Plus,I put a few cars in front of this one to have body work done to so I could get those out fast/sell(this is what I do for a living but I also collect cars a little bit too) and I wasn't worried about selling this car because I had planned on keeping it(I use my friend for my body work and another place that does my painting).

I just wanted to tell the "REAL STORY" here because I have been "trashed talked" about this car for 2 years now on this site!

I'm just a guy who LOVES these old wagons just like everyone else on this site.

And,my 73 Impala Wagon was sold to someone from The Netherlands, plus my 71 Kingswood was sold to someone from Sweden so these Wagons r loved worldwide no doubt.

I still have my 76 Impala Wagon that is the "best of the best" (@ least it is to me) and it's listed but in all honestly I'll never really care if I sell it.

This one,in a way I hate to sell it but do I really need it(really need more than one,not really).

    "WHEELS"

I have Billet Adapters on car currently(5x5 bolt pattern to 5x4.75 bolt pattern).

I've had 8 different sets of wheels on it so far, just couldn't make up my mind what I liked the most.

Z28 wheels r not my favorite for it however to me they don't look that bad on it either.

Personally I love either Daisy 200S(Coke Bottle)Wheels or Turbine wheels on these wagons.

And of course Torque Thrust wheels look great on them too but Torque Thrust wheels these days r the new Slot Mag Wheels(almost everyone has got some).
