Has anyone rechromed any exterior parts like roof rack mounting brackets, light bezels, exterior scripts (eg Ford, Chevolet or "Country Squire") or other (non-bumper) chrome decorations? These metal parts are commonly refered to as "pot metal". Most likely they are zinc castings. Here is a pic of the taillight bezel. Phil
Not done yet, but I asked for a quote for rechroming zamac parts of my Buick Skylark. It is possible, but is very expensive. If you don't do it right, the part will be pitted soon again.
