I'm beginning to wonder if it's just a strange optical elution with the camera angle:confused:

I found a few profile pics online that looked similar, and even found member Mealimani's wagon before her accident, gives the same elution......

Beautiful looking car, and that Dark Cranberry Red metallic is the most gorgeous red there is. Cleaned and polished, it almost glows in the sun.

You're right about that, Tedy. I also looked at some of my own pics and have found the same thing. I think it is the angling of the shot.

I have never been a fan of pretty much any shade of red on a car. For me it's almost a turn off. But I can appreciate it when the pain hasn't faded and is in good condition as well as when some one else likes it. Out of the most common colors that can be found on any vehicle red and white are my least favorite... But that's just me.

    :)

Xav, normally I agree with you, red is not my colour of choice. When I ordered my 89 Grand Marquis sedan, though, it was the only colour of the lot I came close to liking. The first time I saw the car in real life, I fell in love with the colour. It is a true, clear red, just a very, very dark red.

Goodness...a little white wall cleaner and 5 minutes would have gone a long way before taking the pics.

This is another picture of my car from another angle (before the restoration):
