    Kind of a cool wagon, vinyl top. Pontiac drive train but that doesnt really matter unless you are a hardcore Olds guy. Looks like a pretty sweet ride.

    Pontiac drive train, AND the wheels Marshall wants for his 81!!! Krash, want to replace the HHR, or what ever it is, and get the wife a REAL wagon?

    I read "wecrash" and cringe. I love the wagons from the 70s and 80s. The only thing keeping me from ever trying to get one from the 70s that I can foresee is the gas usage and the size since I live in the big city now. I've had my experience with newer cars and NO Thank You. The best machine I ever drove enough to understand it on a personal level was my old Marquis Wagon. Best Damned machine ever! I don't go for demo derbys! Too sad.

    Thanks for the reminder about wecrash.

    Just found a '77 Monaco sedan in Perryton TX that's a driver for $700. If I can figure out how to get there (it's 2 hours from the nearest bus stop in Amarillo), it's a possibility.

    Looks very solid from the few pics that are posted. No visible rust. Would be a shame if it were derbied. The vinyl roof is not factory. It would be the full length of the roof if it were. Looks to have the electric rear window defroster, so this Olds may be loaded up. Interior pics needed.

    You're not the only one. Thinking about it I would love to have one of the big 70s wagons. A clamshell, or Buick, or a T & C, or (preferably) a Marquis. We wouldn't need it often and I would protect it any way possible. I'm better with big machines and the way they handle. Always have been. Plus in the future when I'm rich from my novels one of the things I want to do is take a big wagon and convert it from an internal combustion to my own designs of power and propulsion.
