Hello, Toying with the idea of finding a 1958 Packard wagon. Are there any leads out there? Thanks Bill
We've had one or two pics posted up in the past, but I don't think we have any members who actually own one. Post up a thread in the 'Wanted' section.
If I am not mistaken, there were about 600 Packard Wagons made in 1958. They were rare in 1958. I would start with joining the Studebaker Drivers Club. Most of the Packard clubs have little use for the "Packardbakers" that were the models Studebaker produced after shutting down the Packard plant in Detroit. They are cool looking cars, almost like a spaceship... Good Luck
Good luck finding any 58 Packard. Except for '58 Packard Hawk coupes, I don't think I've ever seen a 58 Packard in person. I did an "Ad huntr" seach to check Craigslist nationwide and the only 58 Packard that showed up was a '58 2 door hardtop. That ad said they only made 675 Packard 2 door hardtops in 58. Even though the Packard Hawk coupes are rare, many were at least preserved early on as collectibles. The 58 Packard sedans wagons and hardtops were rare to start with, but very few survived.
58 Packard Well, I realize they're rare but, just maybe there may be one out there someplace. You don't know untill you ask around. I always enjoyed their space ship looks. Thanks, Bill
You have set yourself a real challenge there! The only 58 I've ever seen in person was the burgundy one used in the tv series "The Kennedys"
