Ebay had free listings last week and only charged reserve fees and actual sales fees if it sold. He probably only spend $10 to list it. I would pay $'6,500 for it. Maybe 7

I sent the guy an offer without the wheels and tires. Will let everyone know what he says. Seems like a nice guy, and maybe he doesn't know the market for these cars very well. I truly believe it's a $6,000-$6,500 wagon though.

I offered $6,000 with stock wheels. He declined, and he is a very nice guy. I told him about the site aand he may come and visit us. Clean car, but out of my price range since it will be $1,000 to get it shipped home. Hope it finds a good loving home. I would love to have it, oh well I guess

    Hate the woodgrain replacement.
Anyway....my opinion is that this car is a $4200 to $5000 car. Tops. I would not go to $5000 myself.

This is a curious one. This Caprice has alot in its favor including the 454 and full power, yet it has generated only tepid interest at best in its three times up for bid on eBay.

Its a nice car and I love the color. Don't see many of these in blue. I think the lack of the 3rd seat option hurts it a bit, because many wagon buyers want that 3rd seat despite the fact that many will likely never use it. I know that a 3rd seat was a big factor for me when I was looking for a clamshell. When I finally got the old lady that owned my '72 Kingswood Estate to call me I asked her if it had the 3rd seat option, because I had no idea... when she said yes it did, that made it even sweeter for me. :) When I finally looked at the car and discovered it also had tilt wheel, that made it even better, because I also wanted tilt wheel... then when I found out it was a big block car, I was even happier, but of course that feature has been a nightmare for me (most know that long story, lol), but I am getting closer to getting it on the road. :) Hopefully by May it will be going again.

I hope this '73 gets a good home. If it were mine though, the exhaust would have to go back original and original wheels/hubcaps would have to be back on there.

To me a Big Block Chevy is a negative selling point not a favorable one. First thing i would do is pull it out and sell it! and install a Buick olds or poncho power plant or even a Small block chevy a lot may not like that but they LAST a lot longer before needed maintenence of major proportions.
