1977 Plymouth Gran Fury Sport Suburban

400 V8 and 94k miles. All power options. 1977 was the last year for the full-size Gran Fury. There could not have been too many Gran Fury wagons built for '77. Check out the plaid upholstery!

Does the idiot not realize what he has done by putting those stickers on the woodgrain?

 

Going by the rest of the pics the lamebrain just put those on there too.
Maybe he was driving around with the back window down and the carbon monoxide being sucked in from the rear exiting exhaust pipes got to his brain?? He did buy a Kennedy '80 sticker so maybe his brain was fried to begin with.
Those rock bands were all on their way out in the '77 too, disco was king then.

This wagon has been for sale for a very long time, been posted at least twice in the last couple years.

Would be a cool tank.....minus the stickers.

In August 2010 it was $4900. Same pics also..... alot can happen to a cars looks in that time.

I'd ask for a price and fresh pics.

My vote is leave ALL the stickers on it and Plaster more on the sides...
After all its a station wagon.

 

I caught some of that Kings of Crash show on demo derbies the other night and noticed that one of the wagons (unrecognizable) had a similar seat pattern. Kinda stuck out as it's rather unique these days.

 

That has been for sale for at least three years. A guy that was working for him bought it, and now he is trying to sell it for that guy. I kinda like the stickers on the tailgate, they "fit" the time period of the car. Would make a fun tow car.

Since this thread deserves some input.... my brain may indeed be fried, but this sticker thing was on purpose. I lived in a cool beach town of Wilmington and this thing turned heads, big time. Actually went to the trouble to find those damn stickers on ebay, thinking would I have done with this if it was my cruiser in 1977-early 80s. Do a search on bumper sticker 1976, 77, 78, etc on ebay and some cool, funny stickers pop up. I concentrated on vintage surf stickers and music related.

The woodgrain was torn up anyway in the back so the stickers actually covered some of bad spots. The only non time period examples were the BrewThru (my regular beer stop on the way to the beach) and Daptone Records label (new/old Soul R&B label including Sharon Jones). BTW The Who's Quadrophenia, Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane... have never gone out of fashion.

I begrudingly sold it back in late 2010, looks like it just sold again....It sure was an awesome ride.
