hello everyone, my names Anthony and just wanted to say hi to all the wagon lovers. I learned how to drive in a 1990 colony park wagon and since than have loved wagons. the one I learned to drive in when I was 16 blew up (literally in a ball of flames) when I was 17, the car has been greatly missed. now I am 22 and am in the market for another great wagon. so anyway, just saying hi!
Welcome! Oh and get a 94-96 Roadmaster or Caprice. The LT1 engine will blow past anything else on the road and won't blow up! Good luck on the hunt!
Welcome to the SWF, Anthony. Quite an introduction to wagons, having one blow up on you. Hopefully, you weren't behind the wheel at the time. I too have had similar luck with a '84 Mercury Colony Park, having one catch fire on me in Las Vegas many years ago. Only owned it a week when it happened. The Taurus wagon I replaced it with just wasn't the same...... We'll help you out with your wagon search. Start a thread in the general discussion area. Marshall
Welcome to the nut house! Like you, I have always loved wagons. Unlike you, though, I've never managed to own one. I keep saying that will change with my next car. THIS time I mean it! Stick to your guns, and you will find just the right wagon for you! My personal preference is for an 87 Colony Part, but one with the 351W that was available in Canada as a regular production option. Add the towing package and you have something really special.
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! To answer a few questions, luckily I want behind the wheel of the wagon when it blew up. But my grandma was lol. She was driving to work and noticed the car smoking, she thankfully pulled over and got out. 5 mins later the car was ablaze.haha nothing like seeing your car on the five o'clock news on fire. To answer another question, I'm looking for something pre 1991. I like the country squire, colony park that sort of stuff. But I'm not picky lol. And last question answered, yes I have checked out the forums classifieds and I love them! Already messaged about two cars.fingers crossed!!! Thank you all for your time and help
P.s- on second thought I don't think my pm"s sent... I tried to reply directly to the threads and I couldn't do that either.anyone know any other ways I could contact the owners of cars for sale? Thank you in advance
