Definitely an early 60s "Mopar". 62-63 Plymouth likely.

    I think it's a 62 New yorker wagon....by the amount of trim and options I think it's a higher trim level than a newport.(y)

It could also be a Dodge 880 station wagon (this was the big Dodge - '62 to -64). From my research, it appears to have hadthe same body and taillights as the '62 - '63 Town & Country. ('64 Town & Country had different lights).

    Here's the Dodge 880:

And here's a '62 Chrysler New Yorker Town & Country:

That is a '63 Dodge Custom 880 wagon. I used to own one. However, since I can not see the dashboard, I am NOT 100% on that, as it could be a Chrysler wagon, same year. No emblems or trim on the rear to distinguish the two definitively, with the tailgate in the down position.

The '62 - '64 Dodge 880 and Chrysler Newport/New Yorker shared sheetmetal from the cowl back. Trim is different, but the body panels and glass are the same from the cowl rearward. The dashes are different, however.

I gonna say for sure it's a 62 New yorker wagon...you can see the fuel filler is on the passenger side...880's had them on the drivers side...also the dash you can see has a semi-circle dash cluster hump...again this is the guage cluster from a new yorker...the 880's had a flat retangular raised area on the dash.

    I could be wrong but....I'm not....:):yup:

Well, I was right about the Mopar part, but not the Plymouth part. I am not all that familiar with the Mopars of that era, but I knew it was a early 60s Mopar for sure. ;)

    Really neat cars!

Welllll, notsofast!!! That is not the gas filler on the passenger side. Both the Dodge and Chrysler wagons had the fuel filler at the very rear of the driver's side qurater panel. I removed a '63 Chrysler fuel tank to put in my '63 Custom 880 wagon - same tank, same configuration. In that picture, I can't see the dashboard to see what shape the cluster is. My Dodge 880 did not have that odd-shaped front seatback - mine was straight across with no rise in it.

Notice the gas cap on the very rear of the DS quarter panel. The Chrysler is in the very same spot.

Also those two little bumps on the dash pad near the rearview mirror are for the light sentinel package and I'm pretty sure you couldn't get that on a 880...pretty high cost option usually reserved for the top end models...???

62 Newyorker wagon for the win Alex.....;):D

Hmm loved the pic, kind of makes me think if they will ever use a soap box car from the 00 in an sales pic 30 years from now...

    Cheers Dyna
