This wagon is in Albuquerque. I wouldn't mind havin it! I sure found alot of yellow Matadors over the years....should be pretty rust-free http://albuquerque.craigslist.org/cto/3557839876.html
Solid looking car. I do have to wonder, though, about the doors on the driver's side. Was the car t-boned? Why are those two doors repainted in what seems to be the original colour? It shows how faded the rest of the car really is, though. I have to wonder about the state of the unibody, and the A, B, and C pillars in particular. Otherwise, looks like a good solid driver.
He doesn't accept offers from out of state. Too bad, I've always had my heart set on getting a lemon-yellow beater Rambler wagon.
It apears to have potential to look like this......... Never really been a big fan of yellow, but this coffin nose I really like.
Blue Vista, if you want me to check it out for you, this is prob. only 15 mins or so from my house, and I am off Thursday. Ya know, I never need an excuse to test-drive someone elses old car!
These early and mid 70's AMC wagons were really nicely styled (with the exception of that coffin nose - whose idea was that? Totally unnecessary.). This one though, could really use a repaint. And i agree on that left side. May not have been a bit hit, but something happened to it.......
Motor Trend gave the 77 Matador wagon the best keep secret in value, I like odd cars so Ive adapted to the coffin nose.. The yellow looks nice with the wheels in other pic.. Mine is still for sale,, have a couple of lead as I type, been getting shipg cost to SC for a guy.. Heres a pic $3800 firm DRIVE home
