I too don't have a list of collectables. I just have my Fanny (a 1968 Beaumont wagon)and that makes me happy. :)

Hopefully she'll look like this again...but not red.

2012 Sonic and 2004 Colorado are our DD far from collectable.

Already too many red vehicles. Sometimes I hate red. But it's my favorite color............

Yeah, I like red as well, and have one, but it feels like too many sometimes. The wagon is green and I love it. The truck is a dark green/gray color that looks black until the sun shines on it, then it has this gray/green look. Shows dirt seconds after washing it. And the wife's S10 Blazer is black and it looks dirty as it is being washed. I swore many times that I'd never own another black vehicle again and since that time I've ended up with several of them. They just look so good when they are clean and shiny and have a for sale sign on them............:banghead3:

But various greens are our favorite colors. Then blues. Mostly the candy versions. And of course there is this 72 Vista Cruiser that JWDTENN posted the CL advert and it happens to be red with woodgrain that I'm lusting after - see, its the red. It does me in. Its like a secret siren calling to me "buy me, buy me, I'm red, you like red, buy me, I'm red".:slap::slap::slap:

I love red and black. But black is never clean. The best car color I ever had was a crappy white Ford Escort hatchback. I don't think I washed it twice in seven years but it always looked clean.
That Vista Cruiser was calling me too. I shut off my speakers.

I've got two in my stable, Big Olds a '47 Oldsmobile convertible w/455 that I've had since it was a project (since 2001) and Cookie Pusher, a '60 Pontiac Catalina 9 passenger Safari station wagon (since Jan 2012)

I guess the closest thing we have to a "collectible" is the old '88 Isuzu Trooper that's been in the family since bought new in Mar 1988. It's right at 25 yrs old which qualifies it I believe for an antique tag in GA and it just had it's last required emissions inspection. It's in great condition for one of these from '88. Our favorite vehicle to go anywhere in.

    Hello!

Sorry those are not wagons! Here are collectors cars that I own.

this is the first car I owned... Panhard of course!

    IMG_5831.jpg

I was 16 years old when my father bought that car because he owned one like this when he was young. When I was 18, he gave me the car because I was always checking it, driving it, loved it. I don't drive it anymore since 10 years.

    Bye

    Jérôme

The second one is a PL17 first serie with "suicide doors", I was driven this cars till end of november 2012 but I receive the convocation for Compulsory inspection and the car was not abble to pass it because of the rust. So i stored it in a garage till i have time to restore it.

A question. Is it possible to add more than 5 pictures in a message?

    Bye

Jerome, you have GREAT taste in cars! Obviously you are a Panhard person, just as Rev, and a few others of us around here are Ford people. Great convertible. I imagine it is very rare. Do you still have that one? And that sedan looks great. Hard to believe that it is so rusty as to be unsafe, but rust hides. I know that well. Good job keeping her safe until you can get her fixed. You have the basis for a really cool collection there! Keep up the good work!

I dont know about "collector" cars, but I have the following: (oldest to newest)

1972 Chevrolet Caprice Kingswood Estate 3-seat wagon
1973 Pontiac Grand Ville (with the Custom option) 4-dr hardtop sedan
    1993 Mercedes-Benz 400SEL 4-dr sedan
1993 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham 4-dr sedan (may be selling in a month?)
1995 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series 4-dr sedan (FOR SALE! $1375!) :)
2012 Honda Civic LX 4-dr sedan (I won this car two weeks ago!) :)

My uncle inherited grandpas old cars that were collector cars:

1955 Cadillac Series 62 sedan (in excellent original condition)
and his 1976 AMC Gremlin X (with 50K actual).

I don't remember excactly how much were build of this model named "jumior" may be 2000 something like that. I know that few of them were sent to United States, ther is a picture of one of them on the web with big white teeth in the front.

Another one very special from 1963, the Panhard CD. This is the commercial version of the car who raced in "le Mans 1962".

So in addition to the 72 Satellite wagon there are 4 other antiques, all with a story.

First there is my dad's 1960 Plymouth Savoy. The short story: My grandfather bought this car new and it was the family car until the wagon replaced it. My dad saved it from being scrapped and restored the car over 15 years.

Around 1981 my dad realized he needed a daily driver while restoring the Plymouth. He decided he wanted a t/a and so he bought his 1976 Trans Am. By 1991 this car had seen better days and for my parents honeymoon they took their money and had the bodywork done and this car was restored.

Around 2002 or so I decided I wanted to make my wagon a hot rod. Well dad didn't let me do that for no reason other than he needed the car to use for hauling. So he let me buy a car if I did it with my own $. So around 2007 at age 13 (almost 14) I bought my 1987 Cutlass which has been a resto mod from day one. Lots of work put into this one myself.

When my parents got married, my dad took over my moms 1982 Ford Fairmont Futura as his daily driver when the Trans Am went in for restoration. He drove that car daily until 2011 when he bought his 02 Dakota. Now this is simply a preservation project until we can restore it.
