Years ago, in my past life as a custom software developer, I was contracted to build a Horse racing handicap program, using... Numerology. I asked the client to spell it out, no kidding. Not only was he fairly secure financially, but he knew about the two systems of Numerology. The pablum version is based on the first 9 numbers. The original was used by the Assyrians 15,000 years ago, to forecast crop planting and harvests for different fruits and vegetables, as well as war seasons and results. Remember the Assyrian Empire? They reduced the system to a medallion, which became an 8-pointed star with each point representing the known planets and the center circle was the Sun. They had a 21 letter alphabet, as did the Romans and today's Italian language. Well, he wanted to use the '9-system' I did it in both and built a 'switching system' to change between them, and convert names, according to their native alphabet (French (28) and Spanish (29) have more letters than English (26). In the 8-system, if you've seen "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade", the "I" and "J" are really the same letter - Iehova or Jehova. Gets complicated. All that to say the 2013 is equal to a 6 year in numerolgy, January is Month 1, and the first is a 1. So January 1, 2013 is 8. 8 is the number of Good Luck in both systems. Good start for us all. No, I don't bet on the ponies, and I turned over all the code to the client years ago, but when I showed him to use the 8-system instead of the 9-system, I got bigger cheques as a percentage of his monthly winnings. May the world take a break from War and Corruption, so the rest of us pay less taxes.

Quiet on the home front. One of us watched "her shows" and one of us looked at wagons and Airstreams on CL, spent time on the stationwagon forums, and read emails and was in bed at midnight - New York time of course like very night. A great evening, a mug of eggnog at hand, I love those kinds of evenings.
