    Lol -- not to impressed with Britsh car stuff -- something like this comes to mind:

    Lucas - The man who invented darkness
    Lucas - Inventor of the first intermittent wiper
    If Lucas made guns, wars would not start either....

    Cheers Dyna

    PS: As you might understand my Mini Estate will have a new Electrical system made by Bosch, engine wise it will also be changed :banana:

    If Lucas made guns... :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

    I was always impressed with the pre-1965 XKE engines, even though they were mostly in the shop. :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

    They sure looked like motors that meant business. I guess Jaguar specialized in good makeup, not mechanical wizardry and reliability.

    Well, Dyna, its good to have you on board here. Hope more women find us and get a chance to kibbitz with you. You're good people.

    wow dyna how did you get into american wagons? most of us in usa/can grew up with them, so it was a tradition. ....sadly a tradition that was killed by the minivan and SUV.

    There is/was quite a few older US cars in the PH, mostly from US service men but also normal import. When it comes to wagons there is/was three Chevy wagons from the sixties/seventies in the area I lived in actually, plus a few Cadillac hearses..

    I dunno the first time I saw woodgrain I just fell in love with it. It's kind of tacky but I just love it.. I also love chrome and you simply don't find that on a Japanese car, nor do you really find a totally color coded interior. The latter one is actually one of the few things that puts me off on newer US cars. Why can't you get a totally red interior, today you only have two choices and that is grey or grey..

    That was kind of the point I tried to make.

    Na it's only the reliability (quality control) that isn't (wasn't) there. They have plenty of cool ways to go around but often badly executed.

    The guy how delivered the fenders took a few pics too so I thought I would post them too. :) I like color coded interiors and this wagon is a very good example of it, gosh I have to say I love the deep blue color!!

    not true....you can get beige too!:D the colored interior is nice..i will admit. the problem is ... trying to find replacement panels. when i was 16 i worked at a shady little used car lot. and i remeber a couple old caddy's comming through with red or blue interior and the drivers door panel or steering wheel would be some opposite color.

    Dyna you could do a custom color interior that these wagons just beg for.
