The pics are so small, you can hardly see them...

It's probably filthy inside, but it's CHEAP and could make an easy "Rat" project for one of us wagon freaks.

1977 Pontiac Grand Safari station wagon. Great tires, starts easy, good brakes, battery, passes inspection. The problem is a leaking head gasket and freeze plugs. It has 150,000 miles on it and still runs very strong. This is a heavy beast! It is a perfect demolition derby car!!! Just seems too costly to fix. It has been my paint wagon for 20 years. I bought it will 110,000 miles. It has had regular maintenance and a new exhaust system last year. In 20 years it never let me down. Would love to see her go out in a blaze of glory! $450.00 OBO. Please do not waste your time and mine. It will sell for at least $350 for scrap. So offer accordingly. I have the title and will have this sold soon...... so act NoW! Call Bruce @ 636-634-6341. This will go fast so act now. It is drivable.

Reminds me of the '78 Grand Safari I grew up riding around in. We had it from '78-86, and ours had the real Pontiac 400 in it. Miss that one!

How could you want to see a vehicle you've owned for 20 years 'go out in a blaze of glory?' Do people have no souls?

There are people with no souls. I know several people who not only wanted to see it but who made sure they were there TO see it! I don't get it! I know I absolutely hate to see a car I love go to the scrap yard. To see it in a demo derby would just not work for me! I'd be wanting to save the old thing even at that point! Mind you, I never go to a demo derby, simply because I see all these cars I want to haul home! Thing is, with the wrecks I often drive, what I'm seeing on the field is BETTER than what I drove there in and will drive back home!

I hope someone does save this one, or at least goes and takes a good look at it. With the mileage, age, and climate in which it has lived, there may be some serious rust issues. If not, it would certainly be a great car for very little money, even if you have to rebuild the engine.

    Quote from ad....
It has been my paint wagon for 20 years.

I'm guessing painter by trade? Even in the use less tiny pics it looks rouph, my guess is the owner used and abused it from day one.

My first summer in this house, several doors doun and real sharp 72 Torino wagon apeared, Walking the dog I stopped and looked, 9.5 out of 10 mint, green on green. I though, wow, nice ride this family got as it was clear they had kids, and a dog. With in a week there were painters ladders tied doun crushing the roof rack, rear dragging the ground as it was packed to the roof with paint cans. I even offerd a trade for a real nice SWB 80's Ford van.....he declined thinking the 302 shorty van would guzzle way to much gas, over the 302 wagon:banghead3:

What this guy did to the wagon in just one summer, you would never have believed that 2 months priour it was mint.....so yeah, no soul!

I use to be a demo guy, I went to church and confessed my sins. Now that we drive wagons all the time my son always says " How could you ruin so many of these". The things we did in our younger days.

I've had people call me many times to buy my car as a 'demo car' and I just hang up the phone.

I was at a demo derby last year and a guy put in a near-mint Le Sabre wagon. I just about came after him.
