    Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!!

I am thankful for my family, my friends, our freedoms, certainly those brave men and women who fight for those freedoms... and yes, even our own responsibilities that go along with freedom, as well. I am thankful that, even in our busy lives, we are encouraged to take a moment to be reminded of what we have to be thankful for. I am blessed, even without riches.

And although sometimes computers and the web can be the source of many frustrations and annoyances, it can bring together great groups of people...supportive and helpful...as evidenced by this, our virtual home-away-from-home.

    Cheers to you all.

And here, for the longest time, I thought the only thing my wife could cook was brake rotors. She did really well today and she even did the dishes.
I think I will surprise her with a set of NOS body side moldings for her car.

Thanks all. The song Naked Trees is about Joplin and the tornado that hit last year. I'm pretty picky about my music and I know that I rag on Joplin a lot, but it was where I lived for 11 years. I know that there is a lot of bad and/or weird and/or strange weather going on a lot over the past several years. (fidockave213) And a lot of people have been through some really awful, trying, and heartbreaking times. I guess that bad situations have never been a new concept and are only new experiences for children. It is one of my firm beliefs that holidays, whatever they may be or their origins, serve as more than just a time of observances, tradition, or even just celebration. Those special times on our calenders that are set aside for what ever purpose(s) they may be, are reminders that life isn't always a bad situation. That life offers us so many good things. Sometimes it is too easy to forget good things and good times when you feel like you are swimming in reality's communal cesspool. Holidays are meant to give you a break; a breathe of fresh air. TopherS, I feel you nailed it perfectly with one swing.

    Now I'm gonna go
