    Hi everyone,

Working on the '85 Colony Park. I had a heater hose that was split and squirting coolant over the block. Got that replaced and cleaned up yesterday.

To the left of the breather, there is a short hose (approx. 6 inches) with plastic fittings on either end. One fitting snaps into the breather where the pcv filter is. The other end snaps down into the top of the valve cover (passenger side of car). The grommet was all dry rotted and oil was seeping up around it. In the process of removing the hose, the plastic fitting that snaps into the valve cover naturally broke. NAPA had nothing. AutoZone only had the fitting that snaps into the breather which to me looks smaller than the factory part. Is this something that I should look at the dealer for....if they would even have it? Any adivce would be appreciated.

Thanks for the links Rev. Those pictures were helpful. I see that Dorman carries one in the Help! line that looks like the shape I need. The application says it will fit older Ford pick-ups with the 302, so I'm hoping that maybe it will also work for the CP. My local PepBoys has one in stock so I'm planning to check it out in the morning.

The valve cover grommet made by Dorman/Help! that was coded for the 70's Ford pick up w/ 302 did work. PepBoys was the only local parts store that had one in stock. My 3 and 5 year olds are both very happy that the family truckster is back on the road again :yahoo:

Just wait until the kids are older and you can start sneaking them into pick a part yards! Fun!
