    Hi all,

I just bought a 1986 Ford LTD 'Baby' station wagon today and I'm so very happy with it! One thing though, I don't see a temperature gauge on the console--is it me missing it somehow, or isn't there one? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much!

Cars in the mid 80's seem to not have temp gauges, usually just a warning light. Yeah just checked my computer here (at Napa) and it shows a coolant temp sender but no temp switch or sending unit.

This is great--thanks much for the quick replies and it is an actual LTD wagon. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

The LTD Crown Victoria had a temperature gauge. The LTD, as far as I rememeber, did not, but I believe there was a gauge package available as an option on some of the body styles. Since they all used the same dash, the cluster could be retrofitted.

Just posted a bunch of pics, including one of my console. Is there anyway to edit pics after they've uploaded? I didn't see any options--like delete...

    1982caprice station wagon, thanks for replying--just for the record, I'm a 'she':}.

Thanks to all again and Happy Thanksgiving!

Been ahile since I've seen the dash but I think the guys ahev you covered with the "engine lite" covering it all. Sadly no matter what car you drive....once that lite goes on, it can be to late.

Yes. Go to the pic you want to delete, click on image tools and then select delete.

Wow! That's a beauty! I just saw it come up on the banner on the main page! My seats and door panels come from one of those. Recarro type reclining seats. Very comfy. (y)

You might take a look at either the 1983 to 1988 T-Birds or Cougars for a temperature gauge. They had sports instruments in the dash, and might be swappable. The aftermarket gauges would take away from the stylish interior of that model of yours. Thanks for your pictures. (y)
