Very cheap indeed, for a wagon that looks to be in very nice shape. Also great to see a base model wagon that has been looked after and cared for well. That interior looks great. At that price, someone is going to have a wonderful car. Too bad it is too new for my liking. I don't want anything newer than 87, so I don't have to worry about emissions testing.
It is a 75-78 LTD sedan in gray next to it and a blue '64 Galaxie behind it... I like this wagon but in Alaska...that's a serious trip to get it...with the engine running "but not well" makes me think head gasket or lots of noise...I have doubts I could get it across the CA border let alone through Yukon and BC and then all the way down to Texas...
You are correct about the 64, but the Galixie/LTD is clearly a 73 or 74... Notice you don't see any of the rear tail lite in the bit that this pics shows...Top left corner That tank clearly has these tail lites (73/74) I owned a 73 LTD 4 door way back. 75 and up had the re-styled tail lites.
Good point, I was going by the front end, not the rear end, I didn't even see that part of it there. I guess it's hard to keep 19 foot long cars out of ANY photograph!
