Hello all! I am getting a 76 malibu wagon tonite and I cant find many of these things customized. Is there just no desirability for these cars or were there just many ever made. Please let me know what you all think about these cars.Thanks.I will get pics up when i get it
I like 'em because I thing the stacked square headlights look better than the single round ones on the older models.
Welcome Aboard!!!! I have a 73 Lemans wagon, and used to own a 77 Buick Century Wagon. So there are a few out there. I like them, but they haven't caught on with most mainstream car people. That and the fact that they rusted very badly, and they make almost Zero repo parts for the 73-77 A-body's. But if you are going to customize it, that shouldn't be an issue. Lets see some pic's!!!
heres thepics of the malibu I was shocked at how this car rode into work this morning,it rides awesome!!!So far I love everything about it but the wheels.I have many options to replace those so im not worried about it.
what do we all think Well everybody, tell me what ya think.Dont worry I wont be offended because I got it just like this so I havent done my thang to it yet.
Welcome Greg. Looks a project needing new updates. Look forward to your mods. That furry dash has to go though. I'll bet your SWMBO said that too!
Look at this for a parts car! I just spotted it at the top of the forum's main page! A 1976 Buick Century wagon. Never saw one until now. hmmm...
Norman is right, the dash has the go! I don't know if you are into this look at all, but I have to say that I really like the clean looks because of the shaved handles!
I like the non shiny paint. I hadn't noticed the shaved handles. The dash definately clashes a bit. But the car looks nice and straight. It's a great starting point. I like it.
My wife's Mexican and she roared when she saw that dash! She said that no self-respecting North Eastern Mexican would do that, but maybe one from Tijuana or Mexico City. Of course, North Eastern Mexicans have a certain 'self-image' issue (she's not here right now ).
..i know the guy you bought it from via another forum i was never keen on the 'velvet' dash either..but it suited it when the car was still blue (tell him you want the Cragars that used to be on it) congrats on the purchase..great lil wagon
