There is something not quite right to my eyes about this one, awards or no. The ash framing looks too dark, the mahogany panels don't have the right sheen (looks more like Mac Tac than Dy-Noc), the stance is off (front end is sitting low). Not many Country Squires came with black walls and dog dish hub caps with beauty rings, either. I'm not sure beauty rings were even available. Just the poverty caps and full wheel covers.
If that had been a Country Sedan, I probably would have jumped all over it. I just cannot reconcile the colors either. They just don't work for me. Which means an expensive paint job. Too bad. A lot nicer, probably, than the car I did get. And I swear, you cannot get a nice Country Sedan, east of the Mississippi (one for sale that is). They are always out on the west coast. And the price just keeps dropping. I think it was around $14k when I first saw it for sale, many moons ago.
