For restoration. Needs many more pics. These would have to be really rare, wouldn't they? I don't know that I have seen one before now. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/3291383748.html
There's three merc only parts depots I know of right off the top of my head across the country. There's parts out there for this. You just need to do a little digging
The difficult to find parts are the ones specific to the 2 door hard top wagon, and those trim parts, of the little we can see, would appear to be there and in reasonable shape. If the same can be said for the interior parts, then it looks like a really neat project, and not one you will run into very often at all. I don't think I've ever seen a 2 door hardtop wagon, except for the Buick that one of our members is creating.
Forever-27 I am looking for a rear bumper for my 60 model is there any chance you may be able to provide me with some details of these parts depots any assistance would be great thanks
Mercuryland - in Ames , Nebraska I think that was the town. I dont have the time to dig through my junk drawer of my desk right now, im about to leave for work, but if you own a classic Merc, they have the pieces youll need. I bought so much from them when I had my 65 Park Lane Maraurder ...... they said if they dont have what you need, theyll know where to get it. Ill list more later. Mercuryland is on the web

Big M has delt with a lot of old Mercs in the past. John who runs it has an entire auto wrecking yard of old cars. Last time I was at his place in Willows I think it was, he was sort of phasing out the mercurys and dealing more in old Mopars. But worth trying him
Thank you all very much for this info i will email both and follow up with a call. also i am considering some power steer and a brake disc/ booster as pinky is still left hook with drums, okay on the HWY but not so nice around town so my thinking is mabye early to mid 80s Merc/Ford
The Park Lane I had had drum brakes all the way around. That was right off the factory. I was told I could gut a 77 or 78 Ford Granada for its power brake system and update my 65 Mercury. Dont know if it was compatable , I never did it. I believe in keeping a classic the way it was when it rolled off the assembly line. I just made sure to keep my distance from that 80K Mercedes Benz in front of me. Especially when it rained I bought it for 200 dollars, when I got the title I had to get a flatbed Chevy to tow it out of 3 feet of mud. It sat in a field behind a old mans house for about 40 years. The guy had a 60 Cadillac convertable and a old 1960s Chrysler 300 or something back there. But both cars were total losses. Absolute parts cars and thats putting it generously. LOTS of cancer on them eating the metal away. The Mercury was in the best shape of any of them. The last time it had been regestered was 1972. But I saw it as a diamond in the rough. The body had LOTS of rust but no cancer so I had it towed home and spent the next 5 years raising it from the dead. Had the motor rebuilt, the transmission overhauled, the insides tore out and redone, I redid the rear diff in it, had all new upper and lower ball joints and U joints done on it and finally had the car repainted. I spent a fourtune just making it roadworthy. It was a big car. Heres the finished product. Heres the car after I had the rust sanded off in the body shop.
It was a mess when I got it. I don't think id ever take on a project like that again. Wasps had made a nest in the carb, mice had knawed through the seats and headliner, the tires were " new ' but had sat for so many years they had cracked and sunk the car into the thick mud. I had to do the magnet test on it, to make sure it had never been hit, had to replace the calipers, wheel bearings and pads and master cylinder on the glazed brakes. I had to clean the rat turds and nests out of the trunk, squrrel paw marks were all over the tranny and bell housing, I spent way too much money on it. But like old cars go, you always find new things wrong with them. One thing after another, and before you know it you've replaced everything. Parts were hard to find for it, hard but not impossible. Just had to dig around for what I needed
27 this vechile is an absolute credit to you , this Parklane is fantastic , still waiting on more info for pinky will give you guys a update when it happens
