    One month anniversary

    I've officially had my Country Squire for a month now and I'm more in love than when I bought it. I've had at least a half dozen people approach me in parking lots to ask about it or tell me about the one their parents had when they were little. What a hoot! Last weekend it got hailed on and I tried to throw myself on the hood to protect it.

    Hate to remind you, Mike, but a 1984 Ford is now 28 years old! Considering a design life of 10 years, that Ford is the equivalent of 210 years old in human years.

    In 1984 I owned a 56 Ford F250 and I thought of it as really old because it was built before I was born. Now my 84 Country Squire doesn't seem very old to me because it was built several years after I graduated HS. But they were both 28 years old at those points in time. All a matter of perspective I guess.

    My first brand new car was a 1984 Olds Delta 88 Royale coupe. Should have bought my Country Squire then instead. Live and learn.
