I'm very skeptical of these low mileage claims that I see. For this one, that's an average of less than 1300 miles per year, for 25 years. I put more miles on my HHR than that, just last year. Also seems to me, that if was a true low-mileage vehicle, the seller would offer additional details about the vehicle, like "all service records from new", or "one-owner", or "immaculate original condition". I'm smelling a stinker on this one......
The first thing that caught my eye is the bumper filler panels are all missing, and on a truly low-mileage vehicle that has never needed work, those panels last for ever.
could the grill be from a 80-81? My 87, and all that I vae seen, the grill does not roll under the front bumper........ IMO the wood in general is too lite for it to be a 87
Yup. Many questions on this one... I seem to remember in my inspection days those later grills being hinged at the top, so that when the bumper collapses a bit from a soft impact, the grill goes in a little bit. Just checked some Buick catalogs. I see that same grill that's on this one for sale on '84's and 89's at least. So that may be 'factory'.
I still am..????..... Google searching was a waist of time IMO, even found 70's Buicks labeled as...... ...Remember when a surfing the web search was worth a dam?
The grille is correct and they had both dark and light wood. Mine had the light wood. Here's an example.
Both front doors are dented and the bumper filler panels have been sun-baked and disintegrated. That old girll has had some tough 35,000 miles put upon her. Do those wagons have a 6-digit odometer?
I would love to know how that driver side door dent could be popped out, seeing as the metal has a crease in it. Also, I noticed the car has MO plates, but is listed on the Evansville, IN CL site. It's a long way from home.
Nope...a 5 digit odometer, scout. Again I will say it....people now days simply state whatever is on the odometer as original or actual miles. There have been a ton of cars shown here that show low miles that, in actuality, have turned over once or twice. Does anyone here believe that this car has only 35K on it?
I think the distinction is different models: LeSabre Estate versus Electra Estate. Each has a different grille and different exterior woodgrain. Dark woodgrain for LeSabre Estate and light woodgrain for Electra Estate.
