Well guys I am back on the forum. Sorry for being away. Was just kind of in the dlodrums I suppose. Since my migraines tend to keep me away from the cars I was spending more time on things I could do like my antiques. It's easy to spend a few minutes here and a few there fixing parts of my fans or lamps where going down to the garage and getting into something is more time consuming. And if I get an attack while I am down there I have to pack everything up when I am feeling ill so it just discourages me unless I am good. But not to fret I am still into wagons. Dawn's choptop is sold, and I have been pirating parts off my Olds for my Volvo. The wife also has a Volvo, and Sarah still has her Hearse which not sports the wheels and tires from my Olds. And my Volvo has the wheels and tires from my wife's Choptop. So they are all looking good. Just more daily drivers now.
Glad to hear from you again, Stick! We really missed you....... Oh - We've got to see those Volvos with the Olds parts... Marshall
back, stick! We have all been asking about you. Glad you are feeling up to getting back here! But...I gotta say...I'm sure gonna miss that Olds!
Well mine is the only one pirating the parts but here are both. So far it has the seats, gauges, and soon to be catchcan out of mine, and the wheels and tires off her Olds. Here is her 940.
Hi Stickman welcome back. My sister in Saskatchewn suffers from migranes, her's can be so bad that she has to go to the hospital for a shot to help her through it. Nice pics of your wagons, nice rims.
I tried the ER once. The shot wore off as I was walking out. Rather stay in my own bed and suffer. Tell her she has my sympathies. No one should have these.
Thanks, her's seem to be brought on by pressure changes in the atmophere as weird as that sounds. She quite often knows that the weather is going to change and warns her neighbours to move there things under cover...yipe she's our barometer. My mom's used to be brought on by egg/milk combos such as scrambler eggs. Nasty business those.
My biggest migraine trigger is the smell of pot. Get's me every time. I need to live on about 50 acres of woods! Several years ago, I had a real killer, and my next door neighbour put his hands on my head, thumbs at the temple, and squeezed. I thought I was going to DIE, but the headache was gone completely within 2 minutes, and did not come back. Amazing. Another thing that often helps is to put your feet in a bucket of hot water, or put a heating pad on them and get the HOT, and an ice pack on the forehead. It draws the blood to your feet, and eases the pressure.
That's what I do when I get frustrated with my cars, Stickman. I just putter with my antiques, fix old fans and such. Glad to see you back!
