1970 Buick estate. (Mouth drooling yet?) Great interior, okay green paint, but needs new woodgrain applique. Anyone know of a good source and body man to apply it in FWD metroplex?
from Florida. Why would I drool over a lousy Buick wagon? Wait, I have to wipe off my keyboard. There are several Texas wagon members. Hopefully some can tell you where to go!
You can Google Stationwagon wood grain applique and companies that sell it will come up. Applying it will depend on the Original condition of the car that you are going to stick it to. Not easy or cheap. But worth it if the car is nice. Good Luck and Welcome.
You could try http://www.woodgrain4wagons.com/ I don't have any experience with them, I've just heard the name bandied about.
Not to Hijack a post, but the guy that painted my son's car could not find the applique so he asked me if he could just paint it. You've seen the video and can see the results. Believe it or not he stripped the car and did the entire repaint for $3K including the painted wood! My recommendation is to find someone who is an artist with auto paint and have them paint the wood on. It's been 15 years and people still take a second look at my Son's wagon.
